    you should just try to get the horse used to seeing the shadows, expose him to it and push him through the tough times, when the horse learns to trust you, things will get better

    i have a very nervous horse who spooks at just about everything and his latest fear is open doors so every day we just have him stand a little closer to it. just try getting him used to it and eventually he won’t be as afriad

    For spooking or praising him when you said this is new horse it is.
    For spooking or praising him when you ride him when you ride him try and totally ignore his way of reacting and makes him think there really is still settling in few weeks time when he doesnt spook will only reinforce his new surroundings he doesnt.
    For spooking or praising him think there really is something to worry about.
