It’s not worth missing school for more than once. Once summer comes you should try to be there.
Depending on how much the farrier likes to teach, there is much to be learned from the farrier, and you need to watch more than just your horse. You will learn from watching him do a wide variety of horses and asking questions.
There are some farriers that don’t like to be questioned, or aren’t good teachers. Ask the the riding school which variety they have.
