Can someone explain in detail the position your body should be in when you are riding a horse english style?

gfeckle asked:

I have a younger friend who would like to start and she is wondering how you should ride if she wanted to do English style… and is it very hard to learn or do you catch on?

Upright and straight backed. Any horseback riding is easy to do. You just sit on the saddle provided with your feet in the stirrups.
