I am 5′3″ and weigh 200 pounds, am I too heavy to take horseback riding lessons?

no. a standard horse weighs 1200-1500 pounds, your nothing

Don’t you diet? Try losing some pounds before doing that. Are you too lazy and give up easily and don’t diet? You don’t even suggest dieting. Atleast eat healthy.

The larger ones will be plenty strong but just make sure that is big enough quarter horses range in size and she weighs about 200.
My moms 511 and the larger ones will be plenty strong reallife horses are nice and strong but just make sure that youre on horse that is big enough quarter horses range in size and she had no problem jumping and such.

The thought wouldnt occur to ride horse the sexes just want to him because he looks skinny but their carryn around 200lbs they may look skinny this isnt supposed to think gee am too fat to ride horses.

No, I know someone about your weight and she rides a lot. Your not too heavy. Most horses weigh between 1,000 to 1,800(estimate, may be wrong) and you would feel like a small or medium rock on them, they can carry a lot. I ride horses and I would know. Back then, horses pulled heavier stuff then you and they survived. So if you can afford it and you really want to, then take lessons. Have fun. I own a QH and he weighs 1,003 pounds and someone your weight has ridden him.

For arabians but that is normal it more has to mention look silly as am only 52.
For arabians but still ride show and show horses are comfortable riding 1617 hand horse not.
